Plan More Houses (Continued from Page 1) Twelve theaters are already planned this year for Argentine. Two of these will be constructed in Buenos Aires for the Glucksmann interests, which now operate 52 houses in Argentine, Uruguay and Chile. Although there are no reports of powerful foreign consolidations in circulation. South American exhibitors, watching developments in Europe, are looking for similar movements in their own territory, Glucksmann reports. He believes that American companies have failed to give the continent proper consideration for expansion. About 98 per cent of the pictures shown in South American theaters are American-made, Glucksmann says. German, French and English pictures follow in the order named. Home production is practically nil and he sees no future for this end of the industry. The few first-run houses charge prices which compare with American theaters of the same rating. Comedies lead in popularity, Glucksmann says. There are less than 2,000 picture houses in the entire territory. Jb. Umii/eirsal'S Gieater Mo¥ie List
