Directed by William Watson. "Papa's Best," featuring Neal Burns and Vera Steadman. The new Bobby Vernon comedy will be called "Till We Eat Again." Vernon is supported by Frances Lee and Rosa Gore. It was written by Sig Herzog and directed by Earl Rodney and Walter Graham. "Gimme Strength" will be the new Jimmie Adams comedy. In "Lord Hokum" The cast supporting Edward Everett Horton in "Lord Hokum," his second lor Samuel S. Hutchinson to be released through Associated Exhibitors, includes Dorothy Devore. Kay Deslys, Otis Harlan, Frank Elliott, Edythe Chapman and Margaret Campbell. The picture is being filmed under direction of Lloyd Ingraham. Cast for "Laddie" J. Leo Meehan, who will direct "Laddie" by Gene Stratton-Porter for F. B. O., has selected John Bowers, David Torrence, Gene Stralton, Eugenia Gilbert, Kate Price, Neil N-iCly. Arthur Clayton, Fanny Midgely, Mary Alden and John Fox, Jr.. for the cast. Leonard Starts "The Waning Sex" Robert Z^ Leonard has started "The Waning Sex," starring Norma Shearer, at M.-G.-M. Lew Cody, Sally O'Neil and Renee Adoree are in the cast. "The Temptress" Cast The cast for The Temptress" includes Greta Garbo, Antonio Moreno, H. B. Warner, Armand Kaliz, Antonio D'Algy, Roy D'Arcy and Kathleen Key. Plans to Go to New York ClifT Bowes, who will soon produce his own two-reel comedies, plans to leave shortly for New York to close a releasing contract. Wilson's First, "The Flying Mail" "The Flying Mail" will be the first story in which Al Wilson is to be featured by Abe Carlos for Associated Exhibitors. Virginia Vance in "Golden Charm" Virginia Vance has a part in "The Golden Charm," an independent production, which Bert Curtis is directing. Famous Starts on United Studios Work has begun on the $500,000 building and improvement program which will turn the United Studios into the new Famous Players West Coast Studio. Construction plans are under supervision of Milton E. Hoffman. Geraghty Will Assist Rogell Frank Geraghty will act as assistant to Al Rogell on Chas. R. Rogers Prod. Rogell's former assistant. Lew Collins has been promoted to director, and will direct Curly Witzel in a two reel series. Alma Rubens Back, Working Alma Rubens, in from New York, has returned to Fox to assume the lead in "The Pelican," which is in production under direction of Frank Borzage. Bradley King prepared the scenario. Blanche Mehaffey in Denny's Next Blanche MehafTey has signed for the leading feminine role in Reginald Denny's next "Take it From Me," which goes into production this week under direction of William Seiter. Day and Webb with Associated Two additions were made to the staff of Associated Studios with the signinp of Capt. Richard Day as art and technical advisor and Bobby Webb as casting director. Mary Alden in "Levey Mary" The part of Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch has been given to Mary Alden in the M.-G.-M. production of "Lovey Mary," under direction of King Baggott. Finishes "The Impostor" Director Chet Withey has completed the direction of "The Impostor," starring Evelyn Brent for F. B. O. Her next will be "The Jade Cup." Gladys Hulette in Hartford Film Gladys Hulette is appearing in "Jack in the Pulpit," a David Hartford production. Joins M.-G.-M. As Scenarist Kate Corbaley has joined the scenario department of M.-G.-M. Collings on "The Show Off' Pierre Collings is writing the screen version of "The Show Off" which is to be made with Ford Sterling and a star cast.
