Flag-Raising Ceremonies Planned
Following the old custom of hoisting the national emblem when the steel Superstructure reaches its highest altitude. Famous will conduct flagraising ceremonies at the Paramount theater building Aug. 22. The Marine Corps will officiate with the Marine band to play the national anthem while the colors are raised.
Welsh Resigns from Committee
London— T. A. Welsh of Welsh, Pearson and Co., Ltd., has resigned from the Joint Trade Committee because the committee is not wholeheartedly concerned with production. Welsh feels this question has been neglected.

Garon in Hawaii
Honolulu — Roy Garon, who has reorganized Standard Prod., is here gathering material for a series of two reel dramas on "The Romantic History of Hawaii." Many scenes will be filmed here, with the remainder to be taken in Hollywood.
"Masked Woman" Complete
Hollywood — The Balboni-June Mathis production, "The Masked Woman," has been completed before schedule time. This is the first picture to be made at First National's new Burbank studio.
