NOMAND TO SUE FOR SPLIT ON PRODUCT
Dallas — Suit against distributors who did not give him a split with the Griffith enterprises on service, is planned by A. B. Momand of the M o m a n d Enterprises, Oklahoma chain. Momand has written distributors that he will hold them responsible for the damages he said he suffered because of their failure to give him such a split.
This year, Momand will insist upon "a fair and equitable division of product," and says that any further failure of the companies to meet his requirements will merely increase their liabilitj'.
N. E. Chain Switches Personnel
New Britain, Conn. — Three transfers have been made in the management of the Hoffman Bros.-ContarasPerakos chain. Dan Finn, manager of the Main St. Strand has been sent to Hartford to operate the Strand and Princess. Carlisle G. Barrett, of the Capitol, West Main St., is Finn's successor, while Bernard Grogan, chief of ushers at the Strand takes Barrett's post at the Capitol.
'Tempest' with Sound for Paramount
"The Tempest," which closed Saturday at the Embassy, New York, opens a pop priced run at the Paramount Aug. 18. The picture now is being synchronized.

New Color Process Shown
Film Arts Guild is presenting at the Cameo a new color film process called British Polychromide. A number of subjects in (iolor will be shown. The process is based on the combination of four major colors.
Criterion, L. A., Reopening
IVest Coast Bureau, THE FILM DAILY West Coast Theaters is reopening the Criterion as a sound house Aug. 18, with "The Street Angel" as the initial attraction. The house has been redecorated.
