Advertising by Exhibitor (a) Prohibition on Subsequent Run Wherever another Exhibitor has a prior run, the Exhibitor having a subsequent run may not advertise the picture before or during the exhibition of any prior run Exhibitor. (b) Relief by Grievance Board If an Exhibitor complains that this rule works an unfair hardship on him, the Lo cal Grievance Board can decide the complaint and may give such Exhibitor relief but— 1. Such relief must be limited to advertising during the prior run. The Local Grievance Board has no authority to grant permission to advertise before the beginning of the prior run. 2. Such relief must be limited so that the complaining Class A entertainment from start to finish. r "Gallant Lady" is a production of the highest quality ^ Exhibitor may not advertise or issue a statement that his prices will be less than the prices of the prior Exhibitor. (c) Relief Where Subsequent Run is Within Seven Days If the complaining Exhibitor's run is within seven days after the prior run, the Local Grievance Board may, in granting relief, permit tha Exhibitor to: — 1. Advertise on the screen of his theater. 2. Distribute printed program in his theater. 3. Mail printed program to a list of regular patrons, — such program to be limited to announcement of pictures to be shown during a period of not more than seven days thereafter. (d) General Advertising The Exhibitor may at all times advertise generally as a group the pictures to be exhibited by him. Such general advertising must not refer to any one picture at any time before its exhibition by a prior run. It may only refer to the class of product by mentioning the Distributor's name. Interfering with Exhibitor's Lease No person engaged in the Motion Picture Industry may intentionally interfere — (a) With negotiations be tween an Exhibitor and anyone else concerning the possession, operation or occupancy of the theater actually operated by such Exhibitor; or (b) With any modification, renewal or extension of any agreement affecting the . possession of the theater. The purpose of this section is to prevent interference with negotiations which an Exhibitor is carrying on with his landlord or anyone else for the continued possession or occupancy of his theater. Exhibition Before Dawn No Exhibitor may exhibit a picture previous to dawn of the first date booked without obtaining written permission under the contract for such showing.
