It is hoped to raise more than $5,000 in this manner. Participating theaters include the Tower, Oriental, Abby, Alamo, Aragon, Atlas, Burleigh, Climax, Colonial, Comet, Fern, Franklin, Grand, Greendale, Hollywood, Liberty, Lyric, Mozart, Murray, Park, Pearl, Peerless, Rainbow, Roosevelt, Roxy, Tosa and Violet. Hold Patterson Funeral in Atlanta on Saturday Rites for Willard C. Patterson, Warner Theater executive, who died Monday at Palm Springs, Calif., will be held in Atlanta, Ga., Saturday, at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Parlors of Patterson & Son. Mrs. Patterson is en route to Atlanta and will be at the Biltmore Hotel. Nat Fellman of the Warner Theater executive staff, will represent the company at the funeral. Mrs. Irma Flanders, Patterson's secretary, is leaving New York Thursday to attend the funeral. Lillian Hellman May Do Script of "Little Foxes" William Wyler is conferring in New York with Lillian Hellman, and the playwright will be signed to do the script of "The Little Foxes," which Sam Goldwyn will direct, it was learned yesterday. Wyler, here on the start of a belated honeymoon, leaves today for Lake Placid with Mrs. Wyler, They will sail within a week or 10 days on a South American cruise. Roach Planning Six for UA With Budget of $7,500,000 West Coast Bureau of THE FILM DAILY Hollywood — With a program calling for the production of six pictures at a cost of $7,500,000, Hal Roach is beginning his third season as a producer for United Artists. Details of the program are to be worked out during the next few weeks in conferences between Roach and Murray Silverstone, UA top executive. Harrison Named Treasurer of Harris Amusement Co. Pittsburgh — After having served 37 years as auditor for the Harris Amusement Co. here, George S. Harrison has been appointed treasurer of the company. Before assuming his new position, Harrison is taking a three months' vacation in Florida. Industry Good-Will Rally Set for Altoona April 3 Pittsburgh — The second annual industry "Good-Will Get-Together" of main line exhibitors and film sales representatives will be held on Wednesday, April 3, at the Penn Alto Hotel in Altoona, Pa. The following committee has been appointed to take charge of this affair: F. D. "Dinty" Moore, of Vitagraph, George Elmo, of Paramount, George Tice, of Columbia, and Jack Judd, of National Screen Service. Burt Bishop, local M-G-M branch manager, will be master of ceremonies. Rube Jackter to Direct Col.'s Montague Drive Columbia's home office announced yesterday that Rubt Jackter, assistant sales manager, has been appointed chairman in charge of the "Montague 15th Anniversary Campaign" on billing and sales which gets under way next Saturday and continues through May 10. Aiding Jackter on the campaign committee will be Lou Astor and Lou Weinberg, circuit sales execs.; Max Weisfeldt, short subjects sales supervisor; Maurice Grad, sales promotion manager; Harry Kaufman, exchange operations manager; and George Josephs, manager of the sales accounting department. Rites for Earl Knight Held at Fairmont, W. Va. Fairmont, W. Va.— Earl "Fuzzy" Knight, for many years manager of Warners' Fairmont and Virginia Theaters in Fairmont, until his resignation about a year ago when he took over a night club in that town, died suddenly at his home. He is survived by his widow and a brother, "Fuzzy" Knight, the movie actor. Funeral services were held yesterday at the Jones Funeral Home. Would Amend Constitution to Make Bingo Legal Here Albany — Assemblyman Max M. Thurshen, of Kings County yesterday hoppered a resolution proposing an amendment to the state constitution to empower the legislature to authorize and allow operation of Bingo under religious and charitable auspices. If passed by two different legislatures in successive years, it would go to the people for vote, as did pari-mutuel last Fall. Col. Bob Hope to Broadcast From New York in May Bob Hope, now making "The Ghost Breakers" on the Coast for Paramount, will come East in May for a couple of weeks. Hope will bring his air show troupe (Pepsodent) to New York and broadcast from here during his Coast absence. 120 "Pre" Dates for "Grapes" Pre-release dates set on "The Grapes Of Wrath" have reached a total of 120 in number, it was announced yesterday. Coast premiere of the film has been set for Feb. 27 at the Four Star Theater, Los Angeles.
