It is planned that Eagle Lion will open its own offices in those two countries. Metro to Tahe Over Amalgamated Studios In Britain Shortly; Holds Up Production London (By Cable) — Amalgamated Studios, recently acquired by Metro's British company, will be available within a few weeks. The Government has been using the studio throughout the war, but, is being turned back for commercial use. Sir Alexander Korda is preparing to take over the studio shortly for Metro. It appears unlikely here that the company will attempt tc start any production until the studio has been occupied and improved. Meanwhile, the technicians union here has extended its overtime ban on all studios, creating new difficulties. New B'way Records See Exhib. In the meantime, the agency functions through funds extended to it by Congress in anticipation of an appropriation bill.
