Kalmenson Promotes Peaiiman and Saifer Following the recent appointment of Haskell M. Masters as Dominion district manager for Warners, Ben Kalmenson, general sales manager, on Friday announced two branch promotions in Canada. Effective today Sam Pearlman, former Calgary branch manager, becomes branch manager in Toronto, while Morris Saifer, Calgary salesman, becomes manager of the branch. Pearlman succeeds Joseph Plottel, resigned. At Friday's session Attorney Frank Pestana, counsel for the screen set designers, accused Homer Mitchell, attorney for the producers, and Michael Luddy, counsel for lATSE, of collaborating together to work out a case against the set decorators.
