HOWARD STRICKLING, M-C-M studio publicity head, has returned to the Coast after a 10-day visit in the East with his wife. WILLIAM B. ZOELLNER, head of M-G-M's reprint and importations division, is due in Pittsburgh today from Cincinnati. WILLIAM GLEICHER, head of M-G-M's theater auditing department is in San Francisco. He is due back in New York the end of the month. Hellinger to Tour for Seven "Killers" Previews (Continued from Page 1) show the film at special press previews. Included in the itinerary will be Chicago today, Detroit tomorrow, Xew York Wednesday thru Friday, Boston 19, Philadelphia 20, Washington 21. and Cincinnati 22. In Chicago and Detroit, Hellinger will have, as his special guest, Burt Lancaster, star of "The Killers," and in New York will have both Lancaster and Edmond O'Brien, who portrays the role of Reardon, in the film, as his greeters. In Boston. Hellinger and O'Brien will take over the handshaking. Seven Features Produced In Chile During Year Washington Bureau of THE FILM DAILY Washington — The year 1945 saw the release of seven full length motion pictures made in Chile and introduction there after a lapse of many years of "dubbed" pictures from the U. S., the Department of Commerce announced over the weekend. The Department also noted that U. S. pix are "retaining their popularity" in Czechoslovakia. A letter seeking the group's support has been dispatched to R. H. Poole, president, by Arch A. Mercey, OWMR picture chief.
