He then told an amusing story of killing a duck with a fishing line and was followed by Irving Bacheller, the author, who spoke feelingly of having a map like Mr. Hodkinson in the picture business, which he declared was the greatest agency of good that the world has ever known.
Hugo Ballin touched upon the idea that there was too much of the physical action in present day productions and said they did not show enough thought, and that Mr. Hodkinson was the only distributor in the business who had that same viewpoint.

Stoll Increases Facilities The Stoll Film Company, Ltd.. of London, whose productions will be distributed in the United States by the Stoll Film Corp. of America, has converted a large aeroplane factory at Cricklewood into a studio, laboratory and general offices. The Cricklewood plant will supplement the large studio at Surbiton.
Albany — The Stoll Film Corp. of America has been authorized to transact business in New York State. The company is a Delaware corporation, capitalized at $300,000.
Buxbaum Returns Harry H. Buxbaum of Famous Players returned yesterday from Maine where he tried his prowess as a hunter.
Skouras Meets Brother Spyros Skouras of Skouras Bros., St. Louis, met his brother on Tuesday. First time he had seen him in 10 years. His brother came from Greece and will be in this country for about six weeks.
To List "Exceptional" Films
The National Board of Review has in preparation a booklet which will include a list of "exceptional" films, as seen by the board's committee. Those listed so far are "Godless Men," a Reginald Barker Prod, for Goldwyn; "Passion," First National's German made picture; "The Sin That Was His," with William Faversham, released by Selznick, and "The Devil's Garden." with Lionel Barrymore.
