Daylight Saving Reduces Receipts (Special to WID'S DAILY) Philadelphia— The Stiefel chain -of theaters reports that daylight saving, which has recently become effective here, is detrimental to business. They claim a box office slump of about 30 per cent. John S. Evans, president of the State M. P. T. O., states that the daylight saving has broken the backbone of his business. While the houses in the downtown district are little affected the neighborhood theaters at pn scut bear the brunt of the business depression. Gains Control (Special to WID'S DAILY) Mi.ldletown. Pa.— J. P. Rogers has Mii.d control of two theaters here ilty and the Majestic. Ready Soon (Special to WID'S DAILY) •Los Angeles— Reginald Barker exports to launch his own producing organization in about five weeks. He is now engaged in the final editing ot "The Poverty of Riches," his 17th and last production for Goldwyn. Space at one of the large Hollywood studios will be used. La Salle St., has available a three reeler called "Out of the House of Bondage," advertised as "a new film version of the Exodus.
