"City Lights" Returning For Pop Run at Cohan Returning to Broadway after 3 months at the George M. Cohan, one week at Loew's State, and a day at Loew's New York and engagements in all the other Loew New York houses, Charlie Chaplin's "City Lights" will return to the Cohan, June 1, for an indefinite run at popular prices. During the previous run ,tt the Cohan, 567,753 admissions were paid to see the comedy, according to United Artists records. FIGHTING BLUE SUNDAY Wichita, Kan. — Notice has been served by the Greater Wichita Ass'n that it will fight the blue Sunday verdict, which is to be enforced against theaters after July 4, bygathering evidence against all other violators and insisting on the ban being applied also to the municipal swimming pool, golf courses, filling stations, etc. County Attorney Adams says he will give these complaints the same attention as those directed against theaters. Re-organizing Personnel At Para. New York Studio Re-organizing oi the personnel of the Paramount New York studio has begun. Five writers have been released and other changes are understood pending. Hank Linet Joins Law Firm Hank Linet, formerly advertising and publicity director for Columbia, and later with General Talking Pictures, lias passed his bar examinations and joined the law firm of David T. Torrington House Opening July 15 Torrington, Conn. — Warner Bros, have set July 15 as the date for the opening of their new theater here. The house seats 1,600. Judge Reserves Pathe Decision Motion made by Cluster Holding Corp. and Turin Theater Corp. for an injunction to prevent RKO Pathe from delivering "Born to Love" to three Loew New York houses ahead of their theaters was argued before Judge Valenti in the Supreme Court, New York County yesterday. Decision was reserved. The Nathan Burkan office represented the plaintiffs. H. E. Ellison Resting Denver — H. E. Ellison, manager of the local RCA Photophone branch, and veteran theater owner, is taking six weeks' vacation on account of poor health. A. P. Bill of the Kansas City office will have charge of the Denver office during his absence. Orlando House Robbed Orlando. Fla. — Search is under way for two bandits who held up and robbed the Beacham of $350, escaping in an automobile.
