That Grand Golf Tournament!
A principal conversational topic in the industry Friday was the 19th film golf tournament put on the previous day at the Fenimore Country Club, While Plains. Comments indicated that the jamboree was the most successful of a long and distinguished line of golf affairs.
The RCA Photophone equipment used at the dinner was inspected and supervised by an engineer sent without charge by that company. Loral 306 of the Projectionists' Union provided an operator. The three shorts, comprising two Bobby Jones subjects and a Grantland Rice Sportlight, were supplied by Warner Bros. and I'athe, respectively.
Mickey Mouse dolls were donated by Walt Disney and Russian ashtrays were contributed by Amkino Corp. Art Guild provided pencils on which were inscribed the names of the entrants.
The golfers on Friday were still discussing the excellent music turned out by Julian Hall and his Ambassadors whose services were furnished l>v Fanchon & Marco throueh the okay of Harry Arthur. William Brandt was proudly displaying the hag. donated by Associated Publications, which he won as second runner-up in the putting contest.
Many compliments were aimed at Manager Bernstein of the country club for his co-operation and general pleasant aid. The club's beautiful outdoor swimming pool was used by a few of the more hardy golfers.
Farewell Luncheon

Max Milder, who leaves next Wednesday to take up his new post of managing director for Warner-First National in England, was given a farewell luncheon at Sardi's yesterday by the metropolitan district sales force. About 20 attended.
New Era Handling "Three Loves" Associated Cinemas of America, distributors of European pictures, have concluded negotiations whereby New Era Film Exchange will be salts representatives in the Xew York metropolitan district for "Three Loves." the Marlene Dietrich picture now playing at the Warner.
Tied For Trophy
W. C. Ferguson and Herb Fecke will get together mighty soon to toss up in order to decide who wins the Columbia Pictures Corp., trophy for the afternoon low net runner-up in connection with the 19th film golf tournament held last Thursday at the Fenimore Country Club.
Central States Circuit Signs With Warner-F.N.
Contracts have been signed by Warner Bros, with the Central States Amusement Co. for the playing of Warner, First National and Vitaphone product in the principal cities of the Western states. In the negotiations the Central States circuit was represented by A. H. Blank and Harry Weinberg. Warners were represented by Gradwell L. Sears and A. W. Smith, Jr.
J. C. Barnstyn To Handle Cruze Productions Abroad
J. C. Barnstyn, who sailed for Europe last night to be gone four months, has made an arrangement with Milton Cohen whereby Barnstyn will handle the foreign distribution of James Cruze productions. Cohen plans to leave next week for the other side.
Blanche Livingstone's Mother Dies Camilla Livingstone, mother of Blanche Livingstone, publicity representative for the Fox, Brooklyn, died Thursday night.

Discuss New Budget Plan For Eastern Para. Studio
Operation of the Paramount Xew York studio will be feasible from a financial standpoint owing to the plan now under discussion to charge the plant's overhead against general production overhead.
