The story, although delicate in character, has been treated carefully yet without impairing its force. Director Frank Borzage has injected in it tense drama and sincerity which makes its war time background incidental. The interpreting players, headed by Helen Hayes, Gary Cooper and Adolphe Menjou, are expert in their duties. Women in particular will be enthusiastic over it. Though it is adult entertainment, it is so outstanding that it should draw the maximum of this clientele. GILLETTE.
