Gene Markey and Kathryn Scola wrote the dialogue and continuity. * * * Gus Arnheim's orchestra will appear in RKO's Wheeler and Woolsey comedy, "Diplomaniacs." ^ % % Estelle Taylor's fan mail indicates her admirers want her to give up roles in which she is a mother, and revert to the glamorous s. a. parts in which she established her popularity. :•: % % Roy Del Ruth, speaking at a prominent women's club in Los Angeles recently, offered to donate $10,000 to charity if it could be proven that films have a bad influence on youth. The charge was made by one of the speakers, and Del Ruth's challenge aroused a burst of applause. * * * Claudette Colbert has been switched by Paramount from "Disgraced" to the star role in "Torch Singer." Director George Stevens has selected an excellent supporting cast for Joseph Cawthorn's Headliner comedy, "A Divorce Courtship," which is now being filmed at the RKO Pictures studio. Harry Gribbon, Mae Busch, June Brewster, Carol Tevis and Jerry Mandy have already been signed. * * * Director Edward Sutherland predicts brilliant futures for Gail Patrick, John Lodge and Kathleen Burke, the three screen newcomers who appear prominently in his Paramount production, "Murders in the Zoo." Mr. and Mrs. Rose Shattuck are spending their honeymoon at Yellowstone National Park. Mr. Shattuck is advertising art director at M-G-M, while his wife was Margaret Harriet Ettinger, well known motion picture writer and publicist. % * =fc Henrietta Crosman, noted character actress who recently finished her work in "Pilgrimage," has had her option renewed by Fox and will be seen shortly in other Fox productions. * * * Milton Krasner, who photographed "Strictly Personal" for Charles R.
