Agreement Reported On 25 Million in Claims
Practical agreement has been reached by the Paramount trustees on settlement of the $23,500,000 Allied Owners claim and the $1,500,000 Erpi claim, The Film Daily learns.

Discussion of the national legislative situation will be one of the highlights of an informal meeting of Allied leaders today at Allied headquarters in the Hotel Lincoln. Present will be: Sidney E. Samuelson, Abram F. Myers, Col. H. A. Cole, H. M. Richey and Walter B. Littlefield.
Para. Testing Sound Device
West Coast Bureau of THE FILM DAILY Hollywood — A "singing, talking and seeing wire," which may revo lutionize the field of sound and motion picture recording, is being subjected to experimental tests at the Paramount studios on "Lives of a Bengal Lancer." Its perfection is expected to have a vital bearing on the future of radio, phonograph and film recording. In the motion picture field, it is claimed, the perfection of the device would make celluloid film unnecessary.
Boston Friars to Meet Weekly
Boston — Regular Tuesday evening get-togethers will be held by the newly formed Boston Friars Club, which was formally launched last week with clubrooms in the Hotel Touraine. Officers are M. N. Wolf. M-G-M branch manager, president, and Louis M. Boas, treasurer of the Boas Circuit. William Scully of M-G-M's New York office was guest at last week's meeting.

Disney Studios in Full Swing
West Coast Bureau of THE FILM DAILY Hollywood — With two productions completed and ready for release through United Artists, and two others in advanced stages of preparation, activity at the Walt Disney studios reaches a new high. The two films already finished are "The Dognappers," a Mickey Mouse production, and "The Goddess of Spring" a Silly Symphony in Technicolor. In preparation are "The Tortoise and the Hare," a Silly Symphony, and "Two-Gun Mickey."'
Ernest Truex Comedy at Music Hall m "His Lucky Day," latest Educational-Ernest Truex comedy, has been booked to open at the Music Hall tomorrow. Josephine Dunn returns to the screen in the role of leading lady in this comedy.
Laurel-Hardy for Paris Stage Paris — Ruddy Retheemel has signed Laurel and Hardy to appear in person at a leading cinema here next winter.
New London Studio
London — -Westminster Sound Film Studios, Ltd., will erect a $1,000,000 studio at Grosvenor Road.
Henry W. Kahn Forms Own Distributing Firm
Henry W. Kahn, formerly managing director for Fox Film in Central Europe, and also for 13 years connected with M-G-M in its foreign and domestic departments, has formed Kameo Pictures Corp. with headquarters at 572 Madison Ave. to handle world wide distribution of American and foreign product. It is understood the firm will finance both production and distribution.
Get 2 More British Films
Two more British pictures have been acquired by Samuel Cummins and Jacques A. Koerpel for release by Eureka Productions. One is "Song at Eventide," Butcher-Argyle production with musical background, featuring Fay Compton, and the other i,s "Danny Boy," with Frank Forbes-Robertson.
Appoint Glucksmann-Hopfenberg
Jacobo Glucksmann and Jos. A. Hopfenberg have been appointed comanagers of the New York office of Compania Comercial Radiolux S. A., which controls distribution of RKO product in Argentine, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile.
New Riefenstahl Film
Leni Riefenstahl, star and co-producer of "The Blue Light," has completed a new feature, produced in the mountains of Spain and of which she is both star and director, according to word received by Gil Boag, co-distributor of "The Blue Light" with DuWorld in the U. S.
Warners Not Extending Reel
Despite reports to the contrary, Warner Theaters do not plan to adopt the local newsreel idea in spots other than Philadelphia, it was stated at the company's home office yesterday.

Cincinnati — Six houses in this territory were reopened the past month, it is shown in the Film Board of Trade report. They are the Grand, this city; Palace, Hamilton; Regent, McConnellsville; Dream, Mason; Dixie, Olive Hill.Ky.; Union, formerly Anawalt, Anawalt, W. Va.
Lilian Harvey for 2 Abroad Paris — Lilian Harvey has been signed by Paramount to make a picture with Charles Boyer.
Miss Harvey also will appear in "Madame DuBarry" for B. I. P. in England.
Richard Bennett Signed in England
London — Richard Bennett has signed a contract with Allied Film Productions and will remain here indefinitely.
Dorothy Lee for Vita. Musical
Dorothy Lee has been signed to co-star with Hal LeRoy in a two-reel Vitaphone musical comedy, it is announced by Sam Sax, production head of the Brooklyn Vitaphone studio.

REGIS TOOMEY has arrived in New York and plans to return to the coast within a few days to make additional scenes for "Sea Girl," RKO picture.

DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS, who was supposed to have sailed for Europe, announced yesterday in White Sulphur Springs, Va, that he would leave for California about the end of the week.
MAXINE DOYLE, Warner featured player, will arrive in Washington on Friday for a week of personal appearances at the Earle with the showing of "Six Day Bike Rider," in which she plays opposite Joe E. Brown. She will then visit New York.
MARK SANDRICH, who directed RKO's "Gay Divorcee," returns to the coast shortly from New York.
CAPT. DAN SICKLES arrived yesterday from London aboard the lie de France.
"Blue Light" Holds Again
"The Blue Light" is being held for a fourth week at the 55th St. Playhouse. It will be followed by "Thei Broken Melody," Twickenham production with Merle Oberon and John Garrick. "Men of Tomorrow" has: been postponed until November.
