tM\ DAILY Saturday, June 28, 1919 Re-Organization of H. & H. Prod. At a meeting of stockholders of the H. & H. Prod., Inc., yesterday, the following officers were elected: Herbert E. Hancock, President; R. J. Hunnington, Vice President and Treasurer, and Don Hancock, Secretary and General Manager. Plans for an extensive advertising campaign were discussed as well as the production plans for the future which are to be on a large scale. The H. & H. Prod, first release Violet Mersereau in "The Strange Romance," directed by Herbert E. Hancock. Guts and Flashes To get the print of "Mickey" in time for showing, the Royal Victoria, Victoria, B. C, used an aeroplane from Vancouver. William Stowell, while vacationing in Chicago, is making personal appearances at several picture theaters in connection with a Universal feature. Percy Heath with Universal Percy Heath, one of the best known theatrical press agents in the business, has left for Universay City, Calif., to become general press representative at Universal's West Coast tsudios. He resigned from the Ziegfield service last week. With Ziegfield he Vwas handling the publicity for two ^oof shows. It is stated that Heath * is operating under a long term contract with Universal. Cohan Buys Lait's Stories Chicago. — Nate Phillips, manager for Jack Lait, has disposed of 25 of Lait's short stories to Sydney L. Cohan for photoplays and has an option on 75 more of Mr. Lait's stories. Albany, N. Y. — Shurter Theater Co., Ellenville,, motion picture exhibitors, $30,000; S. S. and J. L. and H. J. Shurter. Ellenville. Playing Golf Tom Terriss, together with his new star, Corrinne Griffith, were participants in the Annual Lamb's Golf Club Tournament at Percy Williams' estate at Bay Shore last Sunday. Miss Griffith was successful in being runner-up for the Ladies' Putting Tournament where the entries included some of the most successful stage and film stars of the day. Hearing Next Thursday The hearing in the suit filed by George A. Hopkins against Frank G. Hall, Continental Pict. Corp. and others, for alleged infringement of the plot of "The Challenge of Chance" will be held next Thursday in the U. S. District Court. New Form for Digest The Canadian Moving Picture Digest in its new form has just appeared. It is much larger and contains considerable matter of the kind that will appeal to "fans."
