HEARING AIDS Telesonic Expands Market For Its Induction System 'J^ELESONIC THEATREPHONE CORP. in 19J0 further expanded its induction system of theater hearing aids to include representative houses from Boston to California. For 1951 Telesonic has planned a coordinated campaign to bring the large number of hearing-aid users into the theater field through the production and development of a small induction coil for theater ues to be attached to personal hearing aids. The new Telesonic listening units entirely eliminate the nuisance of plug-in hearing aids and the setting aside of special conspicuous seats for the hard of hearing. PROCESSING EQUIPMENT S.O.S. Hikes Production Of Bridgamatic Machine g.O.S. CINEMA SUPPLY CORP. expanded the production of its Bridgamatic, a completely self-contained automatic machine that permits the quick processing of film on an economical basis and is credited with solving the problem of keeping film being processed in motion without the need of continually handling it. Later in the year the company added to the line the Bridgamatic Jr., said to possess the potentiality of revolutionizing film handling techniques for many TV stations and film producers. The Bridgamatic Jr. is compact, with patented overdrive, air squeegees, built-in drybox, heating elements and neoprene steel-lined two-gallon tanks. Positive film is developed 600 feet per hour and negative 160 feet per hour with but one gallon of solution. A new line of motion picture printers imported from Europe is being introduced by the firm this year. MISCELLANEOUS Big Product Increase by Drive-in Theater Mfg. Co. JTS PRODUCT line-up was increased extensively by the Drive-in Theater Manufacturing Co. of Kansas City in 1950. Additions for use by both indoor and drive-in theaters included a complete line of chrome-face poster frames, several popular sizes of wall cabinets and easel frames, a popular size Banner cabinet, program time schedule holder for desk or wall mounting, plastic ticket space box-office lock, plastic speaker grill for box offices, single-roll ticket holder, Nite-King outdoor fluorescent lights. Little Giant vaporizer pumps, a complete line of wood ladders, porthole blowers, exterior Snow White brick and masonrv paint, interior screen paint, exterior Snow White Paint, interior and exterior aluminum paint, liquid Bakelite plastic varnish and interior chrome finish. Also added to the company's list were the following items for drive-ins only: vending cart for Coca-Cola, hot dogs, hot coffee, candy and other food and refreshments, new concession building sneaker, double or single face entrance and exit lights measuring 40 by 15 by six inches and preexpanded, pre-fabricated quarter-inch ' tempered pressed wood drive-in screen facing. Lucite Program Holder from Associated Ticket & Register ^ PROGRAM HOLDER made of lucite was one of the new items brought out by Associated Ticket and Register Co. It was offered in two types — hanging and easel. Besides providing a convenience for patrons, the hanging type can be used by manager and doorman for timing the show. The easel type is meant primarily for desk use. Neumade Adapting Picture Equipment for Video Use gPECIAL ADAPTATION of standard motion picture equipment for use in television has marked a trend in the Neumade Products Corp. business during the past year, according to Oscar P. Neu, president. Film practices and problems are be ng brought to the attention of a broadening business field, Neu says, and the market for numerous items of equipment is being expanded. Neumade's expansion plans for the current year include the occupation of additional factory space in Buffalo. A sizeable addition to the original factory there is scheduled for completion before June 1. There will be room for a number of pieces of heavy modern machinery which have already been ordered, according to Neu.
