RCA SCORES
It is a welcome news to note that over twenty new
cinemas in different important stations in Western India are being fitted up with the RCA Photophone Equipment.
Six new cinemas, some of them under construction, in the city of Bombay have all taken up the RCA Equipment. While this proves the unique country-wide popularity of RCA Sound Equipment it also supplies ample proof of the exhibitors' anxiety to give their patrons the very best in motion picture exhibition.
Time and again. RCA has paid its way not only because of its excellent reproduction of sound but also because of the efficient and reliable construction of its equipment.
Over seven years back when Director Shantaram of Prabhat installed RCA in the Prabhat Talkies, Poona, few people expected that the machine would be still serving its purpose. But there it is till today, as efficient and as reliable as on the day when it was first installed and all the Prabhat pictures are still shown on it.
What is good for Prabhat is certainly good for many a cinema in India.
We hope, however, that RCA agents in India do not use the war as an excuse to profiteer in their sales. Because, if exhibitors ever needed a helping hand, they need it now and badly.
