"Room No. 9" featuring Geeta Nizami and Shyam is ready to be censored. Director Shorey Daultalvi is making good progress with "Paroo" a social story with Geeta Nizami in the leading role. Two more pictures which have gone on the sets are "Shikayat" and "Moti."

M. P. Productions "Rajlakshmi" starring Kanan is awaiting release in Bombay.
PEOPLE'S THEATRE (Bombay)
"Dharti ke Lai" is a story of the poor, and me story, therefore, contains many a tragic situation. Director-journalist Ahmed Abbas is reported to have made a touching motion picture out of this material. The picture will be censored shortly.
MODHU BOSE PRODUCTIONS (Calcutta)
Producer Modhu Bose with his wide experience of the stage and screen has selected "Giribala" as the subject of his motion picture. It is based on a popular Bengali story called "Mahabhanjan" written by Rabindranath Tagore. Kamal Das Gupta is the music director and J. S. Casshyap is writing the dialogue.
AMAR PICTURES (Bombay)
Having completed the outdoor seuiences, Producer-director Baburao Patel is concentrating on an important dance sequence for his social picture "Gvalan." The picture is
likely to be ready for the Censors in a month's time.
RAMNIK PRODUCTIONS (Bombay)
"Bachchon Ka-Khel" has been com pleted by Director Raja Nene. The picture has two youngsters in important roles — Baby Shakuntala and N. Kabir.
GIRDAR BAHAR PRODUCTIONS

"Gulnar" a social story has gone into production. "Gem" is being directed by Moti Gidwani.
R. S. PRODUCTIONS (Bombay)
"Kangoo" a jungle thriller is nearing completion. The cast is headed by Mahapara, Sadiq, S. Bhaka etc.

The Bengal rights for "Hasrat" have been purchased by Messrs. Metropolitan Distributors Ltd. "Pratiksha" a social story is expected to go into production shortly.

Director Haidar Shah is working hard on his social thriller, "Itbar," featuring Rehana, Sadiq and others.

Homi Master has compleled "Chamakti Bijli" featuring Sulochana and E. Billimoria. Another "Shahi Khazana" has also been completed.
RUPBANI CHITRA (Bombay)
Mr. Nanek and D. Upadhayaya have chosen "Apni Izzat" a social story for their picture. The cast will be announced later.
R. D. PAREENJA (Bombay)
Final finishing touches are being given by Producer-director R. D. Pareenja to his "Sona Chandi" featuring a new-comer Chandni and Suresh in leading roles. The picture is expected to be on the screen in a month's time.
