For nowhere else in the world is possible the combination of setting and of patronage that the Roosevelt enjoys. With a backing headed by Joseph M. Schenck, Lou Anger, I. C. Freud, Sid Grauman, C. E. Toberman, Fred Niblo, Louis B. Mayer, Marcus Loew and other leaders of the film industry. The opening of the Roosevelt will be an event in Hollywood — not merely because of its social brilliance, but because it will establish the new social capital of Filmdom. With the operation of the Roosevelt are associatecJ^e ownership and management of four of the leading Apartment Buildings of Hollywood — the Marcell, the Shelton, the Mayfair and the Weston, under the Hollywood-Roosevelt Properties Corporation. Sixty-five percent, of the high class accommodations of Hollywood are thus under a single control. The Corporation is thus placed in position to effect important economies which will result in increased earning power.
