MAGIC LANTERNS, STEREOPTICONS, ETC. 23 mam At the present time the most convenient and safe way of using the Oxygen and Hydrogen gasses, for reflectors or stereopticons, is by obtaining the gas from the New York Calsium Light Co., who furnish the gas in copper cylinders at so much per cubic foot. In using Cylinders, the loss of time and trouble of making gas is entirely dispensed with, as they are filled to last for several enter- tainments, can be placed in position and the light produced in a minute or two. There is always sufficient pressure to give a steady light throughout the entertainment, more powerful than by the use of bags, and requiring but littte attention. These cylinders are each tested to 600 lbs. to the square inch, and are guaranteed safe for five years. Fig. A show r s the manner of using the cylinders with a reflector, for use in theaters, tableaux, &c. Fig. B shows the manner of using the cylinders with a stereopticon. Parties wishing to own cylinders can obtain then as follows, and have them filled at the regular rates : Cylinders, 8x32 in., holding 15 cubic feet, 225 lbs. pressure, weight 30 lbs $50.00 per pair. Cylinders, 11x34 in., holding 25 cubic feet, 225 lbs. pressure, weight 50 lbs $60.00 per pair. Cylinders, 13x46 in., holding 50 cubic feet, 225 lbs. pressure, weight 80 lbs $100.00 per pair.
