Directions how to Operate Hail's Photo-opiicon. Owing- to the high cost of the Photo-opticon, slides, &c, we frequently let them to Societies, Sabbath Schools, &c, and also for Private Exhibition. We ordinarily send from fifty to sixty slides, selected from our Catalogue by the party hiring. If the exact subjects are not at the moment procurable, we then substitute others answering as nearly as possible to the description given, it being impracticable to always keep all of the required pictures on hand. This number of pictures affords a good hour and a half's entertain- ment, and more than this when accompanied by a descriptive lecture. The instrument, together with sheet, rope, and all necessary apparatus, we forward securely packed in a trunk, so as to be safely sent by express. We would wish to impress upon all parties using one of these instruments the necessity of carefully repacking. The cost of ex- pressage, both ways, is, of course, payable by the party hiring.
