From 1919 to 1962, HARRISON'S REPORTS served as a watchdog for the interests of U.S. independent movie theaters. Founder and editor P.S. Harrison used his 4-page sheet (occasionally 8-pages) to praise films that he considered good for theaters and audiences and to excoriate bad pictures, 'immoral' theater operators, films on 16mm and TV, and any company or policy that made life more difficult for exhibitors. -- Eric Hoyt, 2014
