The device was developed by C. 0. Kruesig, Western Air Express radio engineer, under the supervision of Herbert Hoover, Jr, Air Corps officers were enthusiastic over its possibilities after the exhibition. When perfected, the set v/ill be light and compact, it was said, and should be adapta.ble to commercial and naval aviation also, A visual indicator shows when the plane is directly on the course from which a broadcast is emanating. The stations can be identified either by call letters or by noting the frequency.
