THE GREAT BANK ROBBERY Because Clint Walker once took a special course in engineering to help him in his gold mining activities, he was. able to conquer a gun twirling problem for his role of a fast, two gun Texas Ranger in “The Great Bank Robbery,” Malcolm Stuart Production for Warner Bros.-Seven Arts. Leverages were the key to both pro¬ blems. In the gold mining situation it enabled Clint to develop a rotating riffle box through which he could work his ore. An expert at twirling a Frontier type Colt with his right hand, Clint found it diffi¬ cult to do the same with both hands, as called for in the script of the comedy western. It was only when he applied the engineering principals of leverages to his hands and the guns that he finally re¬ solved his dilemma. “The Great Bank Robbery” is pro¬ duced by Malcolm Stuart and directed in Technicolor and Panavision by Hy Aver- back. The large co-starring cast is headed by Zero Mostel, Kim Novak and Walker. M.G.M.
