John and Jean Drabble are currently remodeling the ’Briton into an English-style country inn, but business will continue as usual. The restaurant will also feature a pub-type barroom and the entire project is expected to be completed in September. Out Toluca Lake way, the Chow family has taken over the Kosherama deli just down from Paul’s Le Petite Montmartre on Riverside Dr. and they continue to feature deli take-outs as well as Cantonese luncheons and dinners. A bit confusing, but mighty handy just the same.
