"I think Ginger Rogers is the loveliest girl I have ever met," he said. Shortly afterwards Montgomery became engaged to Hedy Lamarr. Then came Jean Gabin. Gabin's name had been linked with that of Marlene Dietrich. But Jean had worshipped Ginger ever since he'd seen her pictures back in France. Soon Jean and Ginger were going everywhere together.
