In un camerone erano radunati i pri- gionieri, vestiti del loro abito normale di operaù disoccupati; uno di essi si avvicinò all'inscena- tore e gli disse : « Mi scusi sa, ma in prigione non ce lo lasciano il colletto » ; era vero, tutti ave- vano conservato il colletto e rinsegnsunento di un uomo che aveva vissuto realmente quella vita era preziosissimo. L'inscenatore non era mai stato in prigione e ignorava quel particolare. Perchè non si accoglierebbe con gioia in ogni caso dubbio il consiglio di un esperto? Quale VEuiità impedisce, ad un piccolo attore cresciuto fra la polvere della scena, o nel povero quarto piano famigliare, di chiedere come si sta seduto alla tavola del principe?
