774 — Answers to the Fifth Question. One of the most interesting points to discover was the degree of frequency of the attendance at the cinema. With this object in view, the fifth group of questions has had as its purpose — seeing the numerical impossibility of arriving at subdivisions which would have destroyed the value of the returns — the grouping together of the data regarding monthly attendance in four distinct answers which are progressively an index of the greater or less facility for seeing films. The frequency of attendance over eight times a month or twice a week registers a constant progression. The middle figure for boys is practically stationary, while in the case of the girls it shows a systematic tendency to increase.
