The objects of the Association are : — (a) To promote good will and a good understanding between all Proprietors of Kinemas and other places of entertainment, and between them and such persons as work for them, and between them and the Manufacturers and Renters of Films. (b) To provide a fund for the protection of the interests of the Members of the Association, to relieve them when in distress and protect them from oppression. (c) To secure unity of action among Proprietors of Kinemas and other places of entertainment. (d) To promote by all lawful means the adoption of fair working rules and customs of the trade. (e) To organise means to secure and if at any time considered necessary themselves supply means whereby a free and unrestricted circulation of films and other trade requisites may be secured for Members of the Association. (/) To resist by all lawful means the imposition by public authorities or other persons of terms and conditions upon the Trade which are unreasonable or unnecessary. (g) To secure legislation for the protection of the interests of Members and to promote or oppose and join in promoting or opposing the Bills in Parliament. (h) To adopt such means of making known the operations of the Association as may seem to the Council expedient.
