Company also acquired a lease of the Century Cinema, Clacton, the freehold being acquired by Sub. Co. Metropolitan & Provincial Cinematograph Theatres, Ltd. A substantial proportion of the issue capital is held by Prince of Wales Theatre (Properties), Ltd.
At December 31, 1945, reversionary interests in the theatres held by Metropolitan Co. had been surrendered to the Landlords and Co. had no assets. Company acquired Kinema, Clacton on Sea, and The Ritz, Cheltenham, in 1946, also The Empire, Hounslow.
