Pierre Renoir and Larquey are also casted in this film. LE MESSAGER. — This famous play by Henry Bernstein bas been adapted for the screen and directed by Raymond Roulleau. Stars are Gaby Morlay, Jean Gabin and Jean-Pierre Aumont. UN CARNET DE BAL. — An original picture written and directed by Julien Duvivier. Ail star Casl : Harry Baur, Marie Bell, Pierre Blanchar, Françoise Rosay, Louis Jouvet, Fernandel, Victor Francen, Pierre Richard-Willm and Raimu. ABUS DE CONFIANCE A draina by Pierre Wolff, directed by Henri Decoin and starring Danielle Darriëux. NOSTALGIE. — Adapted from a Russian .novel, «The Post Master», by Pouchkine, is brought to the screen and directed by a Russian director, Tourjansky, with a cast including Georges Rigaud, Harry Baur and Jeanine Crispin. LEGIONS D'HONNEUR. The majority of the scènes for this film were shot, by the director Maurice Gleize, in the Freneh Sahara, as the story deals with the spécial body of Freneh mounted soldiers on dromedaries, known as « Légions d'honneur ». Cast includes Charles Vanel and Abel Jacquin. J'ACCUSE. — The famous Freneh director Abel Gance, who made Napoléon, is working on the production of a new and talking version of his famous silent film: J'accuse. Victor Francen, Jean-Louis Barrault, Jean Max, Renée Devillers and Line Noro are in the cast. LA DAME DE MALACCA. — An adventure film, adapted from .Maurice Dekobra's novel, and directed by Marc Allégret, with Edwige Feuillère and Pierre Richard-Willm. Director of the famous L'Appel du silence, Léon Poirier is now producing Sœurs d'armes, which shows the life of the Freneh heroine, Louise de Bettignies, in the North of France, invaded by Germany, during the war. Outdoor scènes are being made in Lille and in Brusseïs. Jeanne Sully and Josette Day are in the leading rôles. IRENEE (Le Schi>ountz). - A new film, written and directed by Marcel Pagnol which is a satire on the studios and cinéma circles. Fernandel is taking the lead. L'HABIT VERT. An adaptation of a famous satirist play of the 1910 days on the Freneh Academy. Cast includes besl Freneh stage actors : Elvire Popesco, Victor Boucher, Jules Berry, André Lefaur, Larquev and Meg Lemonnier.
