II ne sait rien faire, tout ce qu'il fait, il le fait mal. Nous l'avons vu boxeur, marin, ranchman, mecanicien, le voici operateur ; partout des echecs et des catastrophes qu'il supporte stoiquement sans rien perdre de sa dedaigneuse serenite parce qu'au fond tout qa lui est bien egal. Ne le jugez pas, n'essayez pas de le comprendre, ses actions vous paraitront toujours inexplicables, c'est un grand solitaire, une espece de somnambule egare que seul l'amour tirera de sa torpeur, car il n'attend que l'amour. II reste etranger a tout ce qui vous preoccupe, il ne s'interesse a rien, il n'a pas besoin de distractions, il n'est ni triste ni gai, il s'ennuie et il attend.
