Le Film (1921-61) continued Le Panorama (1919-21), also edited by de Verneuil from the same publisher, Poirier, Bessette et cie. Smaller and cheaper, but featuring similar illustrated, translated stories of Hollywood stars, this Québécois fan magazine was published for many years, until at least 1960. In the 1930s, Le Film was promoted as “the only French-Canadian cinema magazine (l’unique revue de cinéma canadienne-française).” The publisher also issued Le Samedi weekly and La Revue Populaire monthly, from the same editorial team but offering general reading about popular culture.

Nous la voyons ici avec MADEleine ROUSSET (Jeanine) et RENE BLANCARD (le notaire). Le scénario est de Jean-José Frappa. Le dialogue et l'adaptation sont dus à Alexandre Arnoux et Maurice Kéroul. Réalisation Jacques Daroy. Le Film, Montréal, mars 1947 Notre compatriote PAUL DUPUIS a joué à ses côtés dans ‘Johnny Frenchman". Avant la guerre on l'a admirée dans des super-productions comme ‘La Pension Mimosa“ et "La Kermesse Héroïque”. C'est FRANÇOISE ROSAY, une grande Française, une grande artiste, que nous verrons prochainement dans "La Dame de Haut-le-Bois'' dont on trouvera un intéressant aperçu en page de droite. Ce dernier film de la grande vedette, nous assure-t-on, est à ia hauteur de ceux qui firent sa réputation chez nous avant 1939. En page de droite, FRANÇOISE ROSAY et MADELEINE ROUSSET.
