By this peculiar combination cf the toning bath, films absorb the color according to their density, so that a red sunset in a blue sky, over green water and with brown earth shore, is perfectly possible, thus simulating nature in a way not otherwise obtainable. The precision of the Combitone Process is far better than the elaborate and expensive process of hand tinting each of the thousands of pictures in a roll of film.
