JACK MULHALL, Featured Leading Man
Featured [leading man parts in Bluebird and Universal Red Feather films have been played during'the past few months by Jack Mulhall, who has been a member of the Universal stock since in May 1016. This very successful actor is a native of New York, where he attended public schools, and was a student at Columbia University.
His first professional experience was as a member off the West End Stock Company at New York City, where he remained'for two years.
His last two engagements on the legitimate stage were with Ned Weyburn in "The Producer," i n which he created the part of Manuel Stein. This piece went over the Orpheura circuit and was most successful. The last engagement was with James K. Hackett in "The Grain of Dust."
For four years Mulhall played leads for the Biograph, closing with them early this year when their producing companies were disbanded. I n May he went to the Umversal Company, and first played opposite Cleo Madison in "The Free Born." Following this he played in "The First Stone," directed by the Smalleys, appearing as Dr, Prine. He was leading man opposite Flora Parker DeHaven in "Undercurrents," and shared honors with Ruth Stonehouse in the Raymond Wells Bluebird "The Saintly Sinner". He was featured in "Fighting for Love," "Love Aflame," "The Terror," and played a featured leading man part in "Wanted A Home".
Mr. Mulhall weighs one hundred and fifty pounds and is five feet eleven inches in height. He greatly enjoys motoring, rides, swims, rows, dances and is an expert fencer.
