MULLIN'S recent elevation to the important post of editor of Greater Vitagraph, after six years' service as writer and director for that concern, is well deserved recognition of talent in a young man of unusual ability. With something like a list of one hundred and fifty original screen stories, varying from one to five reels, and many of the Vitagraph's most important adaptations of famous works to his credit, he is well qualified to occupy the new post he has assumed. He had the distinction of writing the first original three-reel picture, in the days when a feature of that length was a history making accomplishment. He was one of a party of eleven to tour the world for Vitagraph in 191213, writing on that occasion twenty one-reel stories, suitable to the locations visited in Hawaii, Japan, China, India, Egypt, Italy and France. His most notable picturization was " The Christian," which is still tremendously popular. Recently he completed the picturization of the play " Within the Law," which will shortly be released.
