The furnishings, bought 12 years ago, have stood up very well under the strain of Lucy and Desi's many parties. Lucille and Desi have lived in this house for 12 years. ■ By the end of the afternoon there was only one word to describe the condition of the carpet-soft lawn behind Lucy and Desi Arnaz's home. Strewn with crumpled tissue paper, balloon fragments, and other party drippings, the grass had also been rutted by dozens of baby-strollers and perambulators, while the rock garden had been gradually relocated by a half-dozen two-year-olds. The reason for this mayhem was simple. The half-pint set of upper-crust Northridge society had gathered at the Arnaz ranch to celebrate the first birthday of Lucie Desiree.
