In your hour of torment, Sal, we are all praying for you. In Sal Mineo's right eye there is a constant, excruciating pain. The medical name for the disease is Dendrite. It is a disease which 30 years ago was almost certain to result in blindness. Today a cure is possible, and Sal has not let his spirit flag. Bravely, perhaps even a little foolishly, he has gone on working harder than ever — despite warnings that he needs all his strength to finally lick this trouble which first hit him 7 years ago. Here now is Sal's own story of his fight to save his sight. We thank him for telling this story, which may help others— and we are sure that everyone who reads it will offer his or her own prayer for Sal. (Story begins on
