The West Coast Photoplayers' Baseball League has just been formed, out in Los .Angeles, and three of the Mutual organizations have organized teams to play the Universal and General Film companies' teams.
Al. E'. Christie's Nestor Comedy Company have just completed "Could You Blame Her, " a one reel comedy.
Several interesting African jungle scenes are being put on by Otis Turner and his Special Features company in "The Prowlers of the Wild." Herbert Rawlinson, Anna Little and William Worthington are playing in the production, which will be two reels in length.
"The Fighting Blood," a two-reel Romaine Fielding Lubin feature, is the first picture to be made in Galveston, Texas. It is said to be one of Mr. Fielding's best efforts.
Victor Johnson, P. A. for Warner's Features, is certainly working overtime to give Gene Gauntier publicity. Miss Gauntier appears exclusive'y on the Warner program and Mr. Johnson does not leel happy unless her
name is constantly in print. Last week the star was proposed to by an Arabian sheik, who offered her a horse, and this week, in order to get realism, she went down on Hester Street, New York, the heart of the slum district, and lived for nine days on one solitary "simoleon." All in the cause of art.
Arthur "Sheriff" Mackley is hard at work upon a one-reel Western drama by Mary Rider Mechtold, entitled 'Dad's Outlaws," which wiil be an early Reliance release.
"Universal Ike After the Eats" is the title of a comedy being put on by Harry Edwards. Augustus Carney is assisted by Louise Glaum, Helen Thatchers, Fred Hornbee, Harry Moodie, and "Charley," the Universal Company's elephant.
General V'ilia's successful attack on Torreon lends still further interest to the "Life of Villa." by the Mutual Company, which W. C. Cabanne has been working on for some weeks.
"The Battle of Gettysgoat." a five-reel comedy produced by Romaine Fielding, of the Lubin Company, is a travesty on the war in Mexico.
D. W. Griffith has just finished producing ■'Home, Sweet Home." out in Los Angeles, with a cast comprising the entire strength of the Reliance and Majestic forces.
