Instead 3t* building their own shows exclusively, the Biow Agency will consider proffered programs as well as continue to build their own shows. From Hollywood it has been learned by Motion Picture Daily that Knight's duties on the Ginny Simms show will be partially taken over by Myron Dutton, who was formerly connected with the program and who has been re-signed as producer-writer. Working with John Rider on the writing assignment will be Jack Fulton and another person as yet to be selected. Rider will remain as head of the radio department there. Max Marcin's CBS "Crime Doctor" series for Phillip Morris cigarettes will shortly be replaced. A new quiz program which, although featuring Ted Husing, will not be devoted to sports, is slated to replace the Marcin show. Charles Martin's "Phillip Morris Playhouse" is also due for changes. The program will be set to present musical comedies only, for the summer months. Also, if radio director Bernard Proctor's and Producer Charley Martin's plans to permanently star Dick Powell and Mary Martin on the program are accepted, the series will probably wind up in Hollywood. The agency is also looking for a second show for the Eversharp account which will be in addition to the "Take It or Leave It" sessions, and which will make its debut in the Fall. Comedy will be the keynote of the new program. Neither the format nor the cost has yet been decided upon.
