Leading restaurants and night clubs, such as Sardi's, allowed teams of actresses to sell premiere tickets on the premises. Dailey is presented with a souvenir ticket to the premiere from actresses of The American Theatre Wing at Idlewild Airport. Leon Birnbaum, 20th-Fox's studio music editor, met the trade press to underline the musical problems involved in the production. As part of the all-out publicity campaign, producer Sol C. Siegel is seen discussing the five million dollar picture with the trade press. New York City Mayor Robert F. Wagner, center, issued a proclamation announcing "Actor's Fund Week."
