AUGUST 1, SPECIAL SECTION T H R EJE
A PERIODIC SERVICE TO ALL THEATRE SUBSCRIBERS
AN EXPLANATION *
This enlarged revision of the 1955 CHECK-LISTS, containing more than 5400 titles, will be recognized by most theatremen as a necessary record for careful theatre booking. Fulfilling our promise, annual saveable sections such as this will be published jn each subse¬ quent year, with quarterly interim sup¬ plements published in the regular pink SERVISECTION. The previous sections should now be discarded.
Certain it is that paid admissioned theatres cannot compete with the same picture played In their areas on free TV. It would be silly to try! Only by avoiding such features as are available to TV can this hazard be eliminated.
MOTION PICTURE EXHIBITOR Always FIRST. . . with the BEST
