I Theatre Supply | Dealers Of I The U. S. supply dealer of his choice who in turn solicited the help of the manufacturer of the equipment. An investigation soon un¬ earthed the difficulty and corrective measures were made — another satisfied theatreman. Case History 3 Projection and sound difficulties were re¬ ported by a house in the South. The supply dealer designated on the form was sent to investigate and found only a slight malad¬ justment in the projector, but serious diffi¬ culty in the sound system. The projector fault was speedily adjusted. However, the dealer had to call upon the services of the firm who installed the sound system to cor¬ rect the faults there. The organization re¬ sponded with a complete check of the system and a series of recommendations of what had to be done. These recommendations are now being put into effect. Case History 4 A small theatre in the mid-west was not having any major difficulty, but wanted to have a complete survey made to see if his theatre was up to proper standards. The sup¬ ply dealer in his area was alerted and a date set for a complete inspection The check up revealed that only a few minor correc¬ tions were necessary and these were made on the spot. Case History 5 The operator of a small drive-in on the eastern seaboard reported puzzling difficulties with his sound system and requested assist¬ ance via the TOA form. The sound service system in his area was notified and arranged to check the equipment. It was found that some badly worn segments of the system needed replacement. The equipment was ac¬ quired and the problem solved. Case History 6 A small-town, community -operated theatre, its staff having very little technical knowl¬ edge, forwarded a request for help. Their TOA form specifically covered projection and sound problems. Upon investigation it was found that the projector was completely out of alignment. Corrective measures were taken and the projectionist was left with a complete set of instructions to avoid further difficulty. In the sound system, it was found that a dead spot existed in the middle of the au¬ ditorium. A sound specialist was called in and prescribed the necessary corrective measures.
