TURE HERALD July 3 , 1943 ID REVERSE ADS idd-over ad was small, but carried a sock. It ated from Irving Blumberg, Warner ity head at Philadelphia. Jack Nelson, Capitol, North 3ay, Ont., used this striking reverse cut on "Air Force." MALTHFUU mmm The story of The Plane THAT BUSTED THE BLITZ! 35c Terrific human drama of a man's dream and a woman's faith! LESLIE ' DAVID \ HOWARD * NIVEN East Side Kids in "CLANCY STREET BOYS" "Spitfire" had its world premiere at the 20th Century theatre, in Buffalo. These are the type ads that were used currently and were particularly attractive as compared with larger ads on the same page. Apparently the war background was not considered detrimental to local patronage. This attractive reverse cut was the work of Carl Egan at the Palace theatre, in Calgary, Ont. Note how added vigor is given the ad by the generous amount of white space around the cut. Carl also believes in selling his shorts. tflan I'rrmlcre of "THIS t.l IS MINE" Micro will be *Ufo »how ton 1 1 hi.
