Everett Peterson, formerly manager of the circuit's Uptown, in Des Moines, has replaced Crew at the Strand, in Waterloo, while George W. Lawson, former assistant manager at the Paramount, has gone to the Uptown. MRS. GLENN SCHWARTZ is being transferred to succeed her husband as manager of the State theatre, in Elkhart, Ind. He is going into the Army. JAMES J. KELLY has been named relief manager for the RKO-Paramount-Comerford pool of five houses, in Rochester. He was formerly with the Kellet circuit, in Oneida. RALPH PORTER is the new assistant manager to J. E. M. Curley, at the Ritz theatre, in Albany, N. Y., succeeding Ray Arnold. E. M. OROWITZ, Hollywood publicist who recently joined the Varbalow theatre circuit, has been appointed film booker for the chain, covering a string of houses in Camden and the Southern New Jersey territory. DAVE PERKINS has succeeded Vincent Aldert as manager of the Paramount theatre, in Brattleboro, Vt. The latter has been inducted into the Army. Vincent Aldert, an active member from the Paramount, Brattleboro, Vermont, calls to bid adieu as he leaves for service with Uncle Sam. MEL CONHEIM, formerly manager of the Warner Strand theatre, Albany, and recently transferred to the Lincoln theatre, Troy, is now managing Warner's Diana, at Medina, N. Y. JOSEPH KLEIN becomes manager of the Crown theatre, in New London, Conn. BEN SEIGEL is back at the Whalley theatre, in New Haven, after seeing active service in the Pacific. JACK GOLDMAN, former manager of Warner's Keith theatre, in Philadelphia, has been named manager of the circuit's Victoria theatre, also a dowtown house, replacing Mickey Kipple, who left to join a theatre circuit in New York. HENRY KLAUS, former assistant manager at the M & P Paramount theatre, in Boston, has been promoted to manager of the M & P theatre. Burt Sanders, formerly of the M & P Shawmut theatre, Boston, is now manager of the circuit's Humboldt.
