Coast Guard, has been made assistant manager of Warner's Orpheum, in Hammond, Ind. He was formerly employed by Warners' at the Paramount theatre, in Hammond. GORDON PYLE has been named assistant manager of the Parker Broadway theatre in Portland, Ore. PAUL WESTLAND and WALTER ROE have taken over the Broadway theatre, Bellingham, Wash., from Paul Aust and will operate it in conjunction with the Mt. Baker and American theatres. S. SILVERSTEIN, assistant manager of the Garden theatre, in Philadelphia, was promoted to manager of the Forepaughs •theatre in that city. DAVID LOUIS, on July 15 th, to Mr. and Mrs. Carlo Vannicola. Dad is ad head for RKO theatres, in Boston. PAULINE ANN, to Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Wilson. Bob manages the Fox Intermountain theatres, at Delta, Colo. A. D. GILMORE has been appointed manager of the Lyric theatre, in Boonville, Mo., succeeding Ralph Wallace, who has been inducted into the Army. Other Fox Midwest theatre changes include: James C. Martin going from the Electric, in Springfield, Mo., to the Auditorium, in Marshall, Mo., succeeding Joe Ruddick, who goes into the Army. Dick Wright moves from the Landers to the Electric and James Millspaugh has been promoted from assistant manager to manager of the Landers. Ray McLain, city manager of Fox Midwest at Coffeyville, Mo., has been transferred to Joplin, Mo., as city manager, succeeding Harley Fryer, resigned. H. D. Carroll, city manager at Atchison, Kans., succeeds McLain at Coffeyville; Dale Thornhill goes from Iola, Kans., to Atchison, and Woody Hilsabeck goes from the People's, in Chanute, Kans., to Iola; Charles Mohler, manager of the Orpheum at Joplin, is transferred to the managership of the People's. TOM GRANT, manager of the Lake Theatre, Chicago, and Dave Gold, manager of the Mode, there, were inducted into the Army recently. BEULAH GREEN has been named manager of the Interstate Empire theatre, in San Antonio. HENRY PLUDE, manager of the State theatre, Cedar Rapids, la., has gone to Rock Island, 111., to manage the Fort. He is succeeded by Joe Garman. JACK KOSHAREK, assistant manager of the Colonial theatre, in Allentown, Pa., has been promoted to manager of Comeford's State theatre, with Walter Ernst replacing him as assistant. Milan Todorov, leaving the State, has been named manager of the Transit theatre, as well as advertising and promotion manager of the Towne theatre. STANLEY SLEVIN was named assistant manager of Warner's first-run Earle theatre, in Philadelphia, succeeding William Kanefsky, who left to join the Army. Edward Rosen was transferred to the Diamond to take the place of Walter Patomkin, who resigned to enter war plant work. WAYNE SWEENEY, for the past eight years general manager of the LaPorte Theatre Corp., in La Porte, Ind., has resigned to accept a position as manager of the Town theatre, in downtown Omaha, for the R.
