In Ottawa, Steve McManus, manager at the Elgin, had "Sates of Italy" booked just as Sicily was being invaded. This easel helped to sell the attraction. "Putting Up a Front". Here's a real flash utilized by the RKO Alhambra, Harlem, N. Y. Fred Herkowitz handles publicity for the theatre. Here is a cute gag that will provoke comment from your patrons. Place a mirror in the lobby where people entering will see it. Letter it: "Look who's coming". Carl Rogers uses it at Loew's Granada, Cleveland. At Lichtman's Lincoln theatre in Washington, Bill Hoyle built this animated setpiece. A red flasher was used on stenciled title, while Ann Miller's figure was accentuated by fluorescent light from behind.
