Directed by Robert Tansey. PLAYERS: Hoot Gibson, Ken Maynard, LeRoy Mason, Weldon Heyburn, Betty Miles, Eddie Gribbon. SYNOPSIS Gibson and Maynard are summoned to clean up Willow Springs. It is being ravaged by a greedy land-grabber who seeks to drive out all the honest ranchers to serve his own selfish ends. The boys do clean it up. The plot is a variant of one that is being worn well this season, but will have the tricks of riding and shooting that characterize Gibson and Maynard. THE LONE RIDER IN LAW OF THE SADDLE (PRC Pictures) Western PRODUCER: Sig Neufeld. Directed by Sam Newfield. PLAYERS: Bob Livingston, Al St. John. SYNOPSIS When Steve Kinney is elected sheriff of Rocky Springs, he and his gang run things their own way. The ranchers, soon besieged by rustlers, send for Lone Rider Rocky Cam eron to help them. By the time he and his partner, Fuzzy, arrive the gang has escaped to a neighboring county. They follow and find Kinney running again for sheriff in the new town and against the sweetheart of the heroine. A kidnapping, several fights and a train robbery are perpetrated before the Lone Rider mows down the gang. THE CASE OF THE DANGEROUS BLONDES (Columbia) Murder Mystery PRODUCER: Sam Bischoff. Directed by Leigh Jason. PLAYERS: Evelyn Keyes, Edmund Lowe, Allyn Joslyn, Anita Louise, John Hubbard, Frank Craven, Don Wilson, Ann Savage, Frank Sully, Robert Stanford. SYNOPSIS Evelyn Keyes and Allyn Joslyn play a young married couple. While he is away at a broadcast, she is visited by a girl friend (Anita Louise), who asks her to come along to a commercial photographv studio where she believes a murder or murders are pending. Miss Louise is in love with Edmund Lowe, head of the studio, which has a contract to photograph a wealthy society dinner, with an attendant display of fine silver, etc. The dinner table is arranged, the cameras set in place, and then things start happening. The society matron is murdered, one girl model is found dead, another strangled. THE UNDERDOG (PRC Pictures) Hamefront Drama PRODUCER: Alexander Stern. Directed by William Nigh. PLAYERS: Barton MacLane, Charlotte Wynters, Jan Wiley, Bobby Larson, Conrad Binyon, Elizabeth Valentine, Paul Bryant, Jack Kennedy, George Anderson. SYNOPSIS The underdog is typified in a shiftless farmer who finally lands in the city with his wife and kid. The mother wants a home, friends and no more drifting. The kid is an outcast among the youngsters. He gets hold of a mongrel dog and enlists him, but the canine is rejected. The kid, the dog and Dad get a line on a gang of saboteurs and bring them to book. They win places as honored members of the community, a permanent home and a host of friends in the process. GIRL FROM MONTEREY (PRC Pictures) Prize Ring Love PRODUCER: Jack Schwarz. Directed by Harry D. Edwards. PLAYERS: Armida, Edgar Kennedy, Antonio Caruso, Terry Frost, Veda Ann Borg, Jack La Rue, Bryant Washburn, Renee White, Alphonse Martel. SYNOPSIS The Girl from Monterey, a singer, comes to the United States with her prizefighter brother and helps him to forge ahead bv her ringside encouragement. She meets another fighter and Falls in love. He becomes the champ and is matched with her brother. Tier love and loyalties are badly tangled as she loves them both and doesn't want to see either one hurt. The fight comes off, the brother wins the crown and the romance ends happily.
